Each Advocate Volunteer is trained at our Advocate Academy, located at 3001 W. Roosevelt Rd., Little Rock, Arkansas 72204. We are located at the back of the Juvenile Justice Complex.
Each Advocate must complete at least 35 hours of curriculum training (in classroom or self study) as well as the observation of two court hearings. Every potential CASA will go through the same process in order to be eligible to become a CASA Advocate. You will need to fill out all the necessary forms to become a CASA. Upon completion of all the paperwork, we ask that you contact our office at 501.340.6741or 340.6732 to set up an interview with the CASA staff. Once all the paperwork and interview are complete then we will invite you to attend the next scheduled Advocate Academy Training.
There are several ways to fill out the necessary paperwork needed to be an advocate:
1. You may download all the paperwork from the website.
2. You may complete the application on line. 
3. You may contact our office and ask for a packet of information to be sent in the mail.
*Please note that if you complete your application on line, you still need to download the State Background Check and the Central Registry Check, fill it out and have it notarized. You may wait until you visit the office if you would like. Kristi or Michelle can notarize those documents if needed.*
Your references may also submit their reference on line. Ask your references to log onto the website. The personal reference form is also located in the forms section. That form will also come directly to our office. Please make sure that your references are the same as the ones you named on your application.
